Frequently Asked Questions

How often do you have puppies available?

We do not have puppies on any set interval. We breed first and foremost for ourselves, in hopes of producing our next future star for the show ring. We average only a few litters per year. Litter announcements are always posted to the website.

Will I get to choose my puppy?

We match prospective families with their puppies as we know our puppies best and have been able to watch them grow and develop over the first 8 weeks. We take into consideration gender and individual preferences but a puppy’s temperament will be considered over its color when matching with its family. All of our puppies are usually very close in size and appearance. Our goal is always a successful relationship between puppy and pet owner.

I live out of State, can I still be considered for one of your puppies?

Most of our puppies live out of state. Families come to our home to pick up their new family member, and puppies are small enough to fit into an airline approved carrier that goes under the seat, if flying.

Do you allow “kennel visits“?

We do not consider ourselves a kennel. Our dogs live in our home with us as part of the family and for bio safety reasons as well as personal safety for us and our dogs, we do not allow visits to our home. Our Instagram Account is updated daily with videos and pictures, which should give a good idea of how we raise and live with our dogs.

Do you allow puppy visits when you have a litter?

When you are selected for a puppy, we offer a puppy visit meet and greet opportunity around 7 weeks, weather permitting, when puppies are fun and you get a good idea of their temperaments. We reserve the right to cancel visits due to disease spreads both to animals and humans, such as covid or canine influenza. Our puppies’ health always comes first. We post our puppies daily to our IG account as well, so plenty of opportunity to get to meet them virtually over the course of the time they are with us.

At what age can puppies leave for their new homes?

Our puppies stay with us until they turn 8 weeks old. It is important puppies spend this time with their mom and littermates to learn dog manners and socialize in a home setting before embarking on their big new adventure. Puppies will have been regularly dewormed with us, have had their first vet visit and vaccine, and are microchipped, before they leave at 8 weeks. They’ll have been exposed to a variety of surfaces, sounds, other friendly dogs, cats and humans to ease them into life with their new family.

I filled out an application, when will I hear if I have been selected for a puppy?

We get more applications than we have puppies available and unfortunately we cannot reply to everyone who submits an application. After our application window closes we review applications and get in touch with those we feel would be a great match for one of our puppies. We announce any availability on our website or Instagram if something falls through/ becomes available, so worth checking back in if you did not hear initially.

Do you sell puppies on full registration/ breeding rights?

All of of our puppies are sold on spay/ neuter contracts and limited registration, which means absolutely no breeding rights. We may consider a show contract for experienced show homes in the future.

How much do your puppies cost?

Lots of expenses go into breeding and raising a well bred litter of puppies. Our cost for a puppy reflects the work and expenses that are associated with raising a litter of responsibly bred pups, and are subject to change based on rising costs due to inflation etc. We do not have price ranges per litter or charge different amounts for males or females.

Do you offer a health guarantee on your puppies?

We do our best to produce the healthiest Goldens possible, by health testing and genetic testing all of our breeding dogs, however; we cannot control environmental factors that can contribute to the health of a puppy/ dog once they leave our care. Dysplasia and cancer can still show up even in health tested dogs/ pedigrees. We prepare each puppy buyer by providing lots of helpful info to raise a healthy dog, but we do not make guarantees.

Do you “ship” puppies?

We do not feel comfortable “shipping” puppies, but we are open to flight nannies if families are unable to pick up, however; we much prefer meeting puppy families face to face before they take home their new family member.

Do you sell puppies outside of the US?

At this point we only sell puppies within the US.

Do you have any older puppies or dogs available?

We rarely have older puppies or dogs available but when we do, we will post all info to our website. The process is similar to applying for a new puppy, as we want to learn about you and the home you may be able to provide, in order to determine if it’s a good match. Our older puppies are house/ potty/ leash and crate trained (depending on age), socialized with other dogs, cats and people, and vaccinated up to date. Their price will reflect this.
